Facts about Jupiter

Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system. It's similar to a star but never got big enough to start burning. It is covered with swirling cloud stripes. It has big storms like The Great Red Spot that has been going on for hundreds of years. Jupiter is a gas giant and does not have a solid surface. It is mostly made of hydrogen and helium. But it may have a solid inner core about the size of Earth. Jupiter also has rings but they are to faint to see very well. One DAY on Jupiter goes by in 10 EARTH HOURS. One YEAR on Jupiter goes by in 11.8 EARTH YEARS.

Jupiter has 50 confirmed moons and 17 unconfirmed moons.
