The buried treasure

One day two girls were on the beach collecting shells. One of the girls Sunny was sweet, loving, and caring. The second one was Lucy who was always bored but loved to hang out with her friend Sunny. Suddenly a colourful parrot sat on Sunny's shoulder. She loved parrots and could understand what the parrot was trying to tell her. With a lot of screeching the parrot told the girls "Buried treasure. Follow me". The girls followed the parrot but Lucy began to argue with Sunny that they were just wasting their time at the beach. Walking on the burning sand on a hot morning for more than half an hour tired the girls. Lucy spotted some shade under a tree and ran to relax under it. The parrot flew over the tree and kept saying "treasure treasure". Little did they know that they were sitting on a treasure hidden under the sand. Suddenly a one-eyed patched pirate with long hair appeared next to them. The parrot flew on his arm. At first both Sunny and Lucy were afraid but when he talked to them he did not look harmful at all. The pirate wanted to know why the children were there and they told him they were picking shells and looking at the blue crystal sea when his parrot told them to follow him. The pirate was lonely and wanted someone to talk to. He needed a friend. The pirate talked to them about his adventures and the girls listened attentively. When it was time to go Pirate Sam gave them two golden necklaces from the box under the sand. The girls promised to return back the following day with some food and water. They went home with smiles on their faces happy for the friendship made and the golden necklace.
