Saint Paul
Saint Paul, (who used to be called Saul) was transformed by the Holy Spirit. He was transformed when he was on the road to Damascus with his companions. He was a christian killer and was very angry, mean and selfish to others. Because of this, the Holy Spirit descended upon him asking, " Why do you persecute me, Saul?" The Holy Spirit told him to spread the word of God and to change his name to Paul as a way of starting a fresh, new way of living. Following it's advice, Saul, now named Paul, went all over the world to spread the good news. He wrote letters to the Romans about God's eternal love which are often included in our masses today. Because he was doing this, he was sent into prison many times. Despite enduring that, he still went on spreading the word of god.
St Paul was a role-model to all of us. Even when he was threatened by horrible prison cells and mocking non-believers, he kept spreading the word of God. His determination and bravery can be a brilliant example to all of us, showing us that if we persevere we can do anything we put our minds to.
Saint Paul was born in Tarsus, Turkey in 10 AD. He was killed in 320 AD and was believed to be beheaded in Rome.
