Should children have to do chores to earn pocket money

At the end of this argument I will try convince why this is true or

not true and I will vote as well, using my debate mate

skills in it to.

Firstly, this is parents black mailing their own children, saying to theme.g if you sweep the floor I will give you £1.50 and if you do that everyday non stop it will hurt the child`s back but on the other hand,some-times its good for their son/daughter to help with the housework andit helps them to learn about money and if they do something goodthey will get something good in return, like I stayed on good behaviourand listen to my parents and guess what I got for my birthday anI pad,and its fun having money because you can also buy your own stuff

and it teaches you maths as well (all of the counting).

Secondly,I think children should not be paid money because parents

can use that money in more important stuff like food, bills, clothes and

toys for children, and it is obvious that 33%agree yes and 69%say

no.However giving them about £1.00 a day will teach them

responsibility and if you don `t give them some money they will

be mad and upset and it teaches the importance of spending

money wisely.

Finally,I think that their is no reason for children to be paid

money for e.g in christmas children don`t buy their own

gifts, they ask for what they want and that is the parents job.

Dispite that mayby they have to do a project for there home

work and go and get a certain material from the closest art

and craft shop.

In conclusion,I will vote yes children should get pocket money

from parents because after doing chores you`r body aches

even for adults and it is good for children to have some money

to buy their own stuff and not to rely on their parents to buy

stuff for them unless birthdays and chritsmas.

I hope I have convinced you after this argument

thank you.
