It’s Christmas Time!

Christmas time is the most wonderful time of the year! It comes on December 25th and we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

In the beginning of December, we start decorating our house. We put Christmas lights on the windows and in the living room we set up the Christmas tree with lights, baubles and flowers. There’s a special place for Baby Jesus on the unit.

My family and I love to go Christmas shopping in Valletta to buy gifts for all family members. The capital city looks magical during Christmas time with all the streets decorations.

On Christmas Eve, we go to the midnight Mass where I love to listen to the child’s Christmas sermon.

Christmas day, is a very busy day in our house because we invite our family for Christmas lunch. Mum wakes up early to prepare the food such as pumpkin soup, lasagne and stuffed turkey. My favourite part of the day is when we open our gifts. In the evening, we go to visit our great grandma and she always gives me money to buy something I want.

I love Christmas time because it brings all the family together and everyone is happy and cheerful.
