MP stands for Member of Parliament.MPS are in different areas like,Tottenham,Hackney and Edmonton,there would be one Mp in each area.Mps are involved in considering and proposing new laws and ask the Government questions about current issues.
Lords
There are currently 830 lords and there is three different types of lords,Life Peers,Bishops and elected Hereditary Peers.There are many ways of becoming a member of the House of Lords.Members of the house of lords don`t get a salary but some members receive one.
Parliament
Parliaments role is to examine and challenge the work of the Government,debate and pass all the laws and enabling the Government to raise taxes.Parliament takes place in two houses,The House of Commons and The House of Lords.
