Macbeth!
Last week, year 6blue and green got to re-in-act the famous Shakespeare play, Macbeth. We did it with Liz, from the 'Millfield Theatre', and by the way, the Millfield Theatre is where we go every year for the Christmas pantomime. It started in the morning, and we used our imaginative minds to picture the moor, and the three weird women. Next , people were given parts to play, King Duncan was Ephrahim,(6Green), the two sons being Daniel and Esmee, (6Blue), as Prince Malcolm and Prince Donalbain. From then on we continued the story. Key characters were Alex,(6Blue), who was the protagonist Macbeth, and Yousaf,(6Green), who acted out Macduff.
The project continued after playtime until lunchtime. Mostly we worked on the final battle where Macduff raised an army against Macbeth, and met in a grizzly duel that would test both courage and strength.
Eventually, after many murders and crimes, Macbeth finally fell, when Birnam forest advanced towards high Dunsinane hill, just as the three weird sisters had predicted.
To sum up, everybody had a ton of fun, and look forward to going to see the play at Millfield Theatre after half term.
