Sir Francis Drake
Sir francis drake was born in 1540 and died in 1596. He was famous because he circumnavigated the world.He was the first British English man to do so, it took him three whole years. At war with the Spanish he was forced to take a routine around the world to avoid being sunk by the armada. His parents names were Edmund Drake and Mary Drake. He set out on is journey in 1557 and returned in 1660.Elizabeth I of England awarded Drake a knighthood in 1581. Some people think of him as a hero and some think of him as a villain seen as though he started war.
