World war one.

-World war one started on the 28th 0f July 1914.

-Dogs were used to carry capsules attached to their body to send letters to people.

-The war went on for (4 years, 3 months, 2 weeks) it ended on the 11th of November 1918.

- By the end of the war 9 million soldiers had been killed, and another 21 million wounded.

-Around 11% of France was killed or wounded during the war.

-One Christmas eve, 1914, both sides declared an unofficial truce and sang the Christmas carols to each other.
