Robin Hood

Have you ever seen a medieval longbow? I have seen a medieval longbow when I went to Warwick castle and I have used a bow in archery. Why do you think it is so difficult to draw the bow? I maybe difficult because you have to pull the bow very straight and tight. The wood would be heavy.

What is a bowyer? A bowyer is somebody who uses a bow and arrow.

Why do you think archers often chose wood from a yew tree for their bows? A yew tree can bend.

What might have caused the rustle in the bushes? The rustle from the bushes could be a fox or a badger.

Why is Robin alone in the woods? Robin is alone in the woods because he could be a loner.

Can you recall the story of Robin Hood? Robin Hood stole from the rich and gave to the poor. Princess and Friar tuck.
