Should children be given homework every night?

In the past, there had been lots of argument for and against giving children homework every night.Some schools give children homework every night but some dont.

Firstly, I think that children should have homework every night because it shows the teachers that they can do it by them selves instead of copying others.On the other hand it makes students more stressed about school and have no time to relax.

Secondly, arcording to the comments posted on Debate.org 75% of comments support the idea that kids should not have homework every night although 25% are happy to have homework every night.

Thirdly, homework should be given to children every day as it tests if they were listening in lessons.However it is not healthy for them being inside for the whole day instead of socialising with family and friends.

In conclusion to this i agree that children should not have homework every night as it puts kids in unessesary stress.

However i also believe that homework should be available as a option to kids and parents if they want it.
