DIARY ENTRY
Chatting excitedly we walked down to Coulsdon South Station where we boarded a train to London Bridge. After everyone had got off the green and white train we were all counted and led calmly out of the station while still chatting madly in anticipation of what lay ahead.
Quickly we scurried through London so that we could arrive at Southwark Cathedral on time. As we arrived we drifted slowly through Borough Market while delicious smells danced gently to our dreaming noses. When we first arrived at the Cathedral a friendly lady greeted us pleasantly and then showed us to where we were to eat lunch.
Hungrily we all quickly devoured our delicious packed lunches. Eager to get started we entered the main part of the Cathedral .
Our first activity was about when Jesus was called the Servant King. The second was about the Last Supper and we all broke bread together and ate it while thinking thoughtfully. After that we learnt about the night in the garden when Jesus was sneakily captured by the soldiers. We then learnt about objects from Jesus's crucifixion, decorated paper stones with our hopes, dreams or wishes and finally we learnt about Jesus coming back to life, the resurrection. After that we caught the train back to school and I rushed off to a dance rehearsal.
