As we arrived at the crowded station, my stomach felt heavy with fear and my throat turned as dry as chalk. Walking through the huge, stone, bricked arch, a wave of smoke hit me and everything disappeared. All I could hear was wailing mothers screaming the names of their children as they hurled themselves into the huge mob of hurried children. It wasn’t long before we were on the platform where our train was scheduled to arrive and I still hadn’t seen my mother. Closing my eyes I prayed that when I would open them she would be there and that I would be able to say goodbye for one of the final times. Then my heart sinks, as I was day dreaming the train had arrived and we were all getting on. I was pushed on by the crowd and I couldn’t get out of their way, everyone was shouting I couldn’t hear a thing. My mum was now on the platform running towards me, then the train began to move, getting quicker. My head poked out of the window as I saw my mum getting smaller and smaller until she disappeared…
