The key ingredients to a healthy life style are:

BALANCED DIET


The 4 main components of a balanced diet are a combination of the following:


Carbohydrates which give us energy. They are found in food such as bread, potatoes and pasta.


Proteins which help our body's to repair themselves. They are found in foods such as Fish, Meat and Eggs.


Fats which help store energy for our bodys. They are found in foods such as butter, cheese and fried foods


Fruit & Vegetables which are important for helping us digest our foods.




HEALTHY LIFESTYLE


As well as a balanced diet you also need the following;


EXERCISE Idealy one should go outside everyday for 1 hour atleast and do some sport

or physical activity. Fresh air is also very important for your brain to work well.

And so is sunshine as it provides vitamin d.


SLEEP It is really important to get enough sleep, as this is when the body repairs itself,

like a battery charging. If you don't get enough rest its really easy to get sick and this affects ones immune system,

meaning you can pick up virus' more easily.



AVOIDING HARMFUL DRUGS


ALCOHOL Alcohol is a very addictive and unhealthy drug.

Enjoyed in moderation its fine but drinking to much can destroy you internal organs

and lead to an early death.


DRUGS Except for drugs prescribed by a doctor(known as medicines)

drugs are very addictive and very unhealthy for your body and your

internal organs they should always be avoided as they often end in death.
