GEOGRAPHY - HURRICANES - APRIL 20th
1) The difference between a Typhoon, Hurricane and Cyclone is that they have different names depending on where they form.
2) Hurricanes are given names so they can track them easily.
3) They measure the Hurricanes by using satellites or sending aircrafts in.
4) Hurricanes are made when warm ocean air rises and other air is sucked into its place, this air rises to, creating clouds that spin into a storm and if there is enough warm water to power the storm, it turns into a Hurricane.
5) A state of emergency means that people go into the state of when there is an emergency.
6) People prepare themselves for a storm by stocking up in food and water as well as leaving their homes if it is to dangerous.
7) Storm Harvey caused parts of Texas to flood.
8) After a Hurricane I would like to receive a package with a first aid kit to repair any injuries, food, warm clothes if any were destroyed, fresh water and books if any were destroyed.
9) I think a Hurricane has a bad affect on the local economy as there is alot to repair which costs a large amount of money, there might not be much money left after all the repairing, it will over all have a horrible affect on the people whose homes were destroyed and some people could even be demanding for things they lost or money they need.
