I think the children find the journey difficult because they r using hiking sticks.

I think there school is different because its in an area with lots of snow wich probaly means its in a different country and the grounds of the school will be different because of the grounds of the school.

I think that the adults in the picture are to accompany the children to school to make sure they are safe and dont get lost, they are carrying big backpacks with emergency kits and water in them .
