FOOTBALL FANS FLABBERGASTED!

On the 6th of April the Manchester City fans took a long journey across the country to arrive at Crystal Palace's home ground, Selhurst Park. This game decided City's place in the table; furthermore their competition had a very good weekend - all winning their matches comfortably.

Once the whistle was blown the atmosphere in the stadium was electric; there was chanting, cheering and screaming; emotions were running high however very soon not everyone would be so happy...

The home fans' spirits were lifted even higher when Glen Murray tapped the ball into the net following a precise cross from Dann, who many could argue was offside. The City players, fans and staff were very disappointed with the outrageous decision. This now put even more pressure on City manager Manuel Pellegrini whose recent form as manager has been very poor.City dominated the game in every way apart from goals. They had many good oppurtunities that were tipped wide by Palace keeper Julian Speroni.

Sadly for me, the next goal came from Jason Puncheon's free kick which curled into the bottom corner of Joe Hart's net. The free kick was awarded because of a lousy challenge on Murray by Brazilian midfielder Fernandhinio who received a yellow card. From then on City completely outplayed Palace and the leaders barely touched the ball.

Finally the ball went into Julian Speroni's net, the away fans cheered like they had never cheered before. The goal came from the powerhouse Yaya Toure, he smashed the ball from the edge of the box into the bottom left corner with his weaker foot[his left].However the score line

stayed the same for the rest of the game although there were a few attempts to alter the score line at the end of the game.

This result has taken City to 4th behind Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United.
