Home Schooling

Would you put your child through hell just so they can learn the square route of sixty four? My name is Ruby and I'm going to be arguing for August Pullman to be home schooled.

One of the main reasons August is going to school is because he won't have any surgeries for a couple of years. However sending him to school and then taking him out once he's settled could be a bad experience for him. On the other hand ,for some, it is widely believed that the operation could be scheduled in the holidays. Even so coming back in September with the right mind set after a serious surgery could be hard. Staying at home is also positive because he won't be distracted or made uncomfortable by staring and whispering because of his face. At home he can get help with everything he needs because the all the attention's on him.

Some people believe if August stays at home he won't experience life if he stays at home. Though if he goes to school he could get bullied and that the knock the little confidence he has left inside him. Thus he has no need to face the cruelty of the outside world. It is believed that August would make more friends if he went to Beecher Prep. Even so he has a small but strong group of friends who understand and know him well. From a parental view you wouldn't want your child to be bullied. However, many think that systems could be put in place to stop this. But have you ever heard of a middle school system that has ever worked? All of this proves August Pullman should carrying on being home schooled by his family and not go to Beecher Prep Middle School.
