Dear Andy,

School will start in a few weeks and I am really looking forward for it to begin. I had fantastic summer holidays but here I am going to tell you about my holiday in Gozo.

We went to Gozo on a ferry and on our way we saw dolphins jumping out of the sea and back again. We arrived at the farmhouse we rented in the countryside. We unpacked our baggage and settled down. It was a very nice and cosy place. It had a huge, clean pool. There were three bedrooms, a big kitchen and a living room. I immediately jumped into the pool.

The next day we decided to go to the red sandy beach. We spent a whole afternoon swimming and we did a barbecue there too. I went canoeing for the first time and it wasfantastic. In the evening we went to a fancy restaurant and I tasted the most mouth-watering stake ever.

On our third day we went on a trip with our car. We went to see the wonders of Gozo. There were a lot of interesting places, like the very old megalithic temples of Ggantija and the old city, Cittadella in Victoria. We also visited a beautiful public garden where we did a picnic. We ate sandwiches, salad, some fruit and drank orange juice. Afterwards we went swimming in our pool.

On our last day we went shopping. Then we went back to the farmhouse, where we packed up our things. We headed towards the harbour to board the ferry. When I was on the ferry, I was already missing Gozo but all nice things must come to an end too.

Now, Andy, could you please tell me how you spent your summer holidays? Hope to hear from you very soon!

Bye for now,

Nicholas
