I like this amazing author called Jacqueline Wilson. She writes children's books about little
girls or boys with problems. But gladly they nearly always have a happy ending! I think my
enthusiasm for her really started when me and my class went on a trip to New Malden library.
I picked one of her books (really just because I loved the cover design) and started reading
it as soon as I got back to school. It was set in victorian times, about a foundling girl with fiery red hair who's mother couldn't keep her so she handed her in to the harsh foundling hospital when she's a baby, where they change her unrevealed name to Hetty Feather. She grows up
strong, and I loved her character. I loved her story, which was written in first person!!!!!
