Dear Van Dyck,
I just had the pleasure of seeing your painting of lady Henrietta of Lorraine and her page for the first time and I would like to tell you my thoughts.
My first impression of your painting was that it had an unnoticeable object like the white rose crochet with the dagger hidden inside.I liked the style of Henrietta’s posh dress that makes the painting stand out. And the page boy in the back ground really makes you think, why would her be there nearly half of his body is covered. What I don’t like is why would you put the page boy in there? Also I don’t like the bush in the back ground. However I would like to know how long it took you to paint lady Henrietta of Lorraine? And if you was alive would you paint another painting of lady Henrietta again in a different back ground and gold objects?
