6BBook Week Review

This year's book week was a lot of fun even though we couldn't do some of the things we would usually do, like the parade and reading with the Infant School.

The best thing that I did this week was getting my books signed by Matt Brown when he came to visit. I was really happy and excited to have a real-life author visit the school to talk about the things he writes about. Matt was very funny but not as funny as my dad (according to my dad... and me)! He talked about some interesting things such as how you should steal ideas like a magpie. He also said that he got his ideas from gossip. For example, one day he went to a cafe and was reading his book but couldn't concentrate on it because he was distracted by a lady who was breaking up with a man, as he had another girlfriend. I think he included this gossip in one of his books.

I loved dressing up in the tropical theme because it was easier than trying to get a book character's outfit together.

I think that the book 'Look Back' was good, except for the end which I found boring.
