Pele was born in Brazil, October 23rd 1940 but sadly died at the age of 74.

Pele was a very famous football player from 1956 to 1977, his full name is Edison Arantes do Nascimento.

He had 7 children, Edson Cholbi Nascimento, Kelly Cristina Nascimento, Sandra Regina Arantes do Nascimento, Joshua Nascimento, Flàvia Christina Kurtz Nascimento, Jennifer Nascimento and Celeste Nascimento.

Pele got a lot of rewards! : Fifa 100 (2004), Fifa ballon D`or Prix d` Honneur(2014), South American Footballer of the year(1973), BBC Sports Personalty of the year (2005), BBC Overseas Sports personality of the year(1970), Laureus world sports award(2000) and last but not least Bambi-Mellennium Award(2005).

Pele`s parents were Joào Ramos do Nascimento and Celeste Arantes.
