Christmas 2020... a quiet one.

It all started with me waking up before my Dad got back from his run... trust me that's EARLY! I had to wait for ages to open my stocking because we always sit on my parents bed and open our stockings together. My sister and I both got rainbow suncatchers for our bedroom windows. Then we went downstairs for breakfast. Afterwards we got ready to open our gifts in front of the computer so that our grandparents, who were on Zoom, could see us. It was kind of weird to be doing this because I'm used to my grandparents being with us in person. We did have a lot of fun though. Mr Lockwood-Wells let me take you on a little journey back in time...

On Christmas lunch day at school, you asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I told you that I wanted a Nintendo Switch. Guess what... I GOT IT! It was so much fun playing Mario Kart with my sister. I got lots of lovely gifts from everyone in my family and I think they loved the gifts which I had made for them. I went for a nice walk with my Dad and my sister while my Mum and Auntie Joan (who is in our bubble) finished cooking the delicious roast dinner. It was a happy day even though we couldn't see most of our family.
