GLIDERS

Gliders are modes of air transport. They’re made of a thick shell called a fuselage. Gliders have wings which are brilliant , for gliding. That’s why they are called gliders.

HISTORY

The first people to fly gliders ,in 1891 but after 5 years Otto sadly died ,1896 in a crash. In the 20 century (1900) the Wright Brothers made many gliders and flew many too.

USES

In WWII gliders were used for bombing England because if the plane got shot down there will be no pilot to get injured. However now a days gliders are used for site seeing from high above.

INTERESTING FACTS

Gliders can go as high as 14,000m and they can go up to speeds of 500miles per hour. They are aerodynamic which makes it easier to glide through the sky.
