For the challenge we ask that you go on a hunt for red objects around the home. Please encourage your child to talk about the different objects and their uses in addition to their appearance and texture. We ask that you post a list of all the objects your child finds on the Foundation Challenges blog. We will be using the lists to support our learning next week. If you have any questions about posting on the challenge blog, please do come and ask to speak to Mrs Turner.

The children will begin the week by exploring a range of red media in order to collage a red superhero mask. We will be encouraging the children to use a range of textures as well as using the associated vocabulary to describe their finished piece. We will begin cooking sessions next week and the children will be baking jam tarts. We will support the children to observe the changes that happen to the ingredients during the baking process.

If any parents/grandparents wish to support the cooking sessions that take place on a Tuesday and Thursday each week, we would be most grateful. Regular support for these sessions really does help, if you are interested please come and speak to Mrs Seickell.

We would like to remind all parents that the children now need to be dropped off at the gate. The Foundation staff will be happy to assist any children that need a little help to come in. Thank you for your support.
