On The Prowl

QUESTION TIME

I.       I think it’s dawn, because of the way the clouds on the far left are shining.

II.       There is only one tiger drinking from the pool because the female is looking out for other tigers who might want to steal the water

they found and need for themselves.

III.       Yes, they are a male and a female looking for food for them and their cubs.

IV.       They are on the ‘prowl’ together because they need food for them and their cubs.

V.       The word prowl means to creep around, it suggests the tigers need to creep around so they can take their prey by surprise.

VI.       When they have both finished drinking, they are going to find some meat to take back for their cubs.

VII. You can find wild tigers in Asia, their natural habitat being forests and plains.

VIII.       Knowing that some tigers live in captivity makes me angry and sad.
