Week 5

Government

According to Oxford English Dictionary, the government are the group of people with the authority to run a country or state. This week in Micro Society we :discussed the jobs of the Government ;read another part of the story Notenuf and trading began.

Monday 16th

To begin the week of, we talked about the jobs of the government and their responsibility. We understood how the government works and talked about democracy. We found out that many of the society's decisions were left for the president to sort out.

Tuesday 17th

Today, we read another part of the story Notenuf, called 'Who Rules?' We had to decide on who rules once the captain decides to retire. The captain had to ask the people what they would do in the crisis ,however there was just fighting so she just had to sort it out herself. We discused that she should call an election to see who the new leader would be.

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

This week we have also had a trading session. My business is going quite well but I think next week I am going to do two businesses so I can get more !!!!! Our currency is going well to, as we printed it out onto coloured paper.

I can't wait for next week and for more trading.
