... Sean was one of the last humans who survived, but the only one who had built up protection months before everyone else did.He studied the weather, and noticed that the earths general temperature had risen highly.Sean also saw that Antarctica was melting fast, so as soon as he heard that the oceans were rising, he built protective glass around his small house.Everyone thought he was over-reacting, but they soon found out they were wrong.

When the flood came, some had quickly built a protective layer around their house. Countries near the equator had had a warning before the flood arrived, so a minority of villages did survive. The oceans wildlife took over, as land animal became extinct. Birds flew over seas until they could find somewhere to perch- the ones that didn't had drowned of tiredness. The lucky few animals that could float on water or adapt to living under water were lucky, as millions of creatures died on this day. Whale and fish now roamed the earth, exploring places they wouldnt have ever seen before.

Months had passed since the 'incident'. Earth had changed. There were now small tunnels underground, travelling from each village, as the oceans had pushed all land closer together, so close that Sean could swim from England to India in just under 40 minutes! Also, they had a number of underground supplies of food, from the dead animals or crops they had salvaged before they became too damp to eat. It would probably keep them alive for decades, but Sean had thought about what would happen when all the supplies were empty. People would eat the fish, but what if the fish run out? Or they grow smarter? He was just going to have to wait and see.

Sean had lost many friends and family, but hadn't everyone? All he had left was his daughter, who hadnt spoken many word since the flood killed everyone she knew. She was fond of the fishes, and now knew the name of every species. Although most animals had drowned, there were some living down in the tunnels. The whole of Aoshima island had managed to survive, so there was an unknown amount of cats underground. Everyone took care looking after all the surviving animals, as some were the last of their kind. NO one could risk losing every land animal.

Years ago, everyone had been dreaming about the future of Earth- robots, flying cars, new things- but yet no one had thought about climate change, how it would affect us.Everyone had thought of melting continents as a fantasy future, but now they would never experience the real future. There were few children left, so there was no way to determine that humans would carry on existing for years to come.
