Wagamama

On Thursday 18th May, Onyx class went to Wagamama. Wagamama is a Japanese and Thai restaurant. They serve amazing food and all the workers are extremely kind. I had never been to the restaurant before but after the visit I will definitely go again.

When we went in we were seated at a long table. Before we started to do anything we were told about the originality and start of Wagamama. First we found out that the word Wagamama actualy means 'naughty child' this was a weird meaning.

After we finished talking we went to wash our hands. Once we washed our hands we were separated into three groups of seven. One group will make juice another group would weigh noodles and the third group would taste weird but popular ingredients. The first station I was at was the juicing station. We had to make juices out of only 2 apples or if you wanted, 2 carrots. I chose apple juice and all we had to do was put two apples in a juicer and then the juice was made. At first I didn't think that it would taste really good but it actually came out amazing.

The next thing I did was weighing out the noodles. We had to weigh out the same exact amount of each ingredient into a plastic bag. We found out that as soon as the chefs come to work in the morning they have to start of with weighing out the perfect amount of ingredients for a serving of one person.

The last group I went to, we had to taste some ingredients that were used in the restaurant. These ingredients included: pickled ginger, bamboo strips, mange tout, seaweed and coriander. Some of the foods were not terrible but the bamboo strips I didn't tasste and the pickled ginger I didn't like.

Visiting the restaurant was really fun and I hope to visit again.
