VE day stands for,victory in Europe day.

On the seventh of may 1945 in world war two,Germany surrendered.

They had a party in the streets that went over night,the war was over in Europe. VE day is celebrated because Germany surrendered.

Even though the war was over rationing continued a decade after the had happened.
