MACBETH

After our spectacular school workshop, we were really looking forward to seeing a professional performance of Macbeth. It exceeded our expectations.

On Thursday, Year 6 travelled by bus to the Millfield Theatre, where we saw a wonderful production of The Scottish Play. The talented actors really brought the story to life; the costumes added to the sinister atmosphere. There were two other schools there and one pupil from each school was chosen to take part in the play. All the volunteers did extremely well playing their parts. I think getting students involved added a great deal to the excitement of the day.

All in all I very much enjoyed the experience and I definitely recommend it to all Year 6 classes. This play seriously is proof that Shakespeare was a writing genius…
