Movie Review on Kirikou and the Sorceress
This movie is about an extra-ordinary, young boy who saves his village from the evil of the sorceress whom has terrible power over his village.
As the spring has dried up and the men reported devoured by Karaba, Kirikou sets off to save his relatives and discover the truth of the world around him.
Kirikou saves all the people in the village including the children and his uncle the only man that has not been devoured by Karaba. He discovers the secret of the spring and bursts the monster who was drinking all the villages water. He then journeys to ask his wise grandfather about the sorceress and her evil and faces many obstacles during the process. The grandfather informs Kirikou that Karaba is evil because she suffers; evil men put a poisoned thorn in her back.
Smart Kirikou manages to trick the sorceress and removes the thorn which cures the sorceress from her pain. In return, Karaba kisses Kirikou and he becomes a full grown man. When they arrive back at the village, no one believes that the Karaba is no longer evil and only do when Kirikous' grandfather arrives with a group of drummers all of them family with the people of the village.
I would rate this movie 9/10 simply because it is funny, unique, imaginative, adventurous and very interesting. It's a movie that grownups and kids of all ages can enjoy in delight together. I would highly recommend to watch this film.
