Chipotle Restaurant
As part of Food Revelation Day, Mr Anderson and Mr Hayden, who are the year 6 teachers, arranged for the year sixes a visit to the Mexican Restaurant, also known as Chipotle. Chipotle, which is named after an EXCEPTIONALLY, hot chilly, has over 18,000 restaurants across the world!
Excitedly, we trotted past the occupied street with 6 B behind us. As we entered the building, we met the boss of the restaurant, Everton. Everton, who was a very nice guy, took us into the main kitchen to make some scrumptious Guacamole. Guacamole, which is very healthy for the human body, contains a huge amount of: jalapeƱo peppers; diced coriander; fresh cut avocadoes(also good for the skin); red onions; sea salt and finally a squirt of citrus juice.
When we finished adding all the ingredients in the bowl, Everton and some of the children in 6a,(including me) got to mash up the ingredients together with a huge masher. Finally, we scooped up the guacamole into our little containers, but to make the dip taste EVEN better, Everton and some of the cooks made yummy torrtilla chips to go with the delicious dip.
The best part of the trip was when Everton brought us the Chipotle pepper that we tasted. I ate the whole pepper because I come from the country that loves spicy things. All of the children in Year 6 enjoyed the trip, and so did the teachers!
