Music!
Hello everyone, todays blog is going to be about music, as you all know by the title! I chose music as a topic to talk about because it's something we learn and listen to everyday of our lives! Whether it's classical, R 'n' B, jazz, rock or pop! We all like some kind of genre, but we all take music for granted as it has become so common and popular over time! Music takes a long time to learn, compose, etc. I know that for sure! It definitely deserves some appreciation, as a lot of hard work is behind those 2 - 6 minutes of instruments and/or vocals!
Singing!
Singing is something so many young girls (and boys!) love! And, there is so much talent in the school, as you can see by Rotherfest! Everyone has a unique talent - whether it's singing, playing an instrument, dancing, magic, gymnastics, or even martial arts! Singing is really fun, makes you learn new words (in a way) and song-writing is so much fun as it can be like writing poetry! Also, different ways of singing - such as doing harmonies, single-part melodies, etc - can be really fun to experiment with. And if you think you are not a good singer - practise makes perfect!
Instruments!
Playing an instrument is so much fun, but it is a lot of hard work! From getting the fingering right, to reading the notes (also known as dots and lines) correctly! Playing one myself, I can say from experience that it can be really difficult, but all your hard work definitely pays off! When you finish a song, oh, the satisfaction! I usually try to perfect my fingering, add vocals and use a sustain pedal (something you use to make a note longer!). Plus, there are so many different instruments to choose from - what's not to love?
Taylor Swift!
Just thought I would throw this one in, because you can't have a blog about music without the 'Queen of Music'! I love - more like ABSOLUTELY adore - this country to pop singer! She has a huge heart, as well as having some amazing song-writing skills that so many young girls can relate too. She is an inspirational woman, winning the award 'Woman Of The Year' twice! She worked really hard for what she has, and I believe you should always work hard for something if you really want it! And, she plays guitar and piano, which is super-duper-ultra-tastic-mazing! Her album 1989 won album of the year because of the BILLION votes I gave...
