How-to-Art!
Watercolour
Hi everyone, todays blog is going to be part of my 'How to Art' series, I am going to be giving you some of my best tips and tricks that I have learnt! Watercolouring is my favourite way to colour pictures as you can achieve various different looks using just one colour palette. Also, you can create so many different colours, and you can experiment with different techniques, as well as creating your own! There are also different types of papers for watercolour, as well as brushes to help you get the look you want when colouring pictures that you have made.
Experiment with brushes
The brush you use can affect the finished result of
your picture massively! Different brushes can help you achieve different effects, and diverse brushes
can help you colour that specific part of the picture easily. If you are starting off with watercolours, I'd say get one of each to start!
Mix colours
Don't be afraid to mix colours! They are there for
you to use somehow, so this is a great way to use
them. If you don't have a specific colour, lets
say, pink. You could always use red and white
to make it! There are endless possibilities!
Don't worry about messiness
Don't worry about messiness! My watercolour palette
is extremely messy, it's like a rainbow! It shows that you love colours, enjoy art, and you like watercolours.
Plus, the paint will dry on the mixing plates so it shouldn't be trouble! Also, you can remember how you made a certain colour, by looking at it!
Always keep a ball of tissue around
Oh my goodness! This is one of the most important
things out of all of these tips! Always keep a ball
of tissue around when watercolouring! This can
create so much texture to your drawing by
simply dabbing it on the area you want to
create texture on! And, it is super cheap!
