The main character is Oliver. He also meets different friends, Iris,the mermaid,Cliff the Rambling Island, Mr Culpeper and more interesting creatures he finds on his journey!

This story is about a boy named Oliver who now moved to a house is Deep Water Bay. His parent's go exploring but Oliver didn't worry at all! So he decided to go on an adventure to find his parent's! Will he find his parents?

My most favouite part in the story is when Oliver meets the short sighted mermaid called Iris so Oliver helps her to find the spotty,old Opticians to get her eyes checked!

My second favourite part is when the Cliff talks to Oliver and Iris and says that all the Rambling Isles have a contest. So Oliver decides to help that Rambling Isle because the Isle told Oliver he never ever wins the contest because everything that's falls on the Isle washes off every time.
