I remember that my great grandad was a pilot and flew a b24 libarator bomber in Buma in WW2.

My other great grandad was a gunner in the artillery and fought in North Africa, Italy and Germany.

My grandfather can remember hiding under the stairs in Wood Green and hear the bombs droping.
