Darwin's Delights
Charles Robert Darwin was a very famous naturalist who came up with the theory of evolution. He went on a 5 year voyage on the HMS Beagle to islands like the Cape Verdi islands and the Ascension islands. Most of his specimens were from the famous Galapagos island.

DARWIN
Evolution and How Darwin Discovered it.
Evolution is where an organism changes over
thousands of years. Humans evolved from
monkeys over hundreds of thousands of years.
To discover it Darwin found many specimens
from the many islands he went to. He looked
at fossils and then compared them to creatures
now and compared the same species on one
island to those on another. He also knew that
the world evolved too because he found the
fossil of a sea creature high up in a mountain.
Microorganisms
good
bad
Viruses
Mould (sometimes)
bacteria
algae (sometimes)
Yeast
bacteria (in your stomach to help digest food)
algae (to source food for fish)
Microorganisms are living things too small to be seen by the human eye. Some are good and can help to make food but some can make you ill. The reason algae is sometimes bad is that it blocks out light that other plants need to grow.

Microorganisms are separated into different
classes. This is a diagram of the classes.
