THE GREAT GALLIPOLI WAR

Everybody knows the story of the first World War, but hardly any even begin to think about the great battle of Gallipoli. A tragic war of tears, bloodshed and thwarted love.

The war began when Winston Churchill (when he was head of the British navy) decided to send more troops through the Otteman Empire (now called Turkey) to Russia. But the Otteman Empire had different ideas, they weren't going to let the British pass, no, no, no and JOLLY WELL NO AGAIN! The Turkish had big fat guns which were not going to let any foriegners pass in a hurry.NO SIR! This annoyed the British soooooo much (like when Bluetack gets stuck to the bottom of your shoes) that they decided (naturally) to turn on the angry mode and to get rid of them, once and FOR ALL! This started a blood thirsty war in which many soldiers never made it back home. Now they are sleeping under their mounds of soil where the great battle of Gallipoli took place. Yes, we know very sad. This is why class 5 Blue have joined in with other schools from our community to record music to remember this heart braking event which shall never be forgotten. We look forward to our next Gallipoli workshop with John and Firat.
