The Lion

Silent racing
Paws thudding on the leaf strewn ground
Never tiring
Hunting down its prey
Empty tummy rumbling
Desperate for food
Weaving and dodging around bushes and plants
Never losing sight of its meal
Slowly catching up
Then the lion pounces onto its defeated prey
Sinking his teeth into the fur and flesh
And yet he is still...
