Today the Night Zoo keeper came to visit our school, thanks to Jessicas amazing blog about if she could be a Night Zoo keeper. This was out of about 500 people (on the 100wc) and her work got picked as the best out of all those people, which meant that the Night Zoo Keeper got to come to our school! The Night Zoo keeper was very nice for instead of just teaching Yr5 he even gave a whole school an assembly about the animals in their zoo, and even Skyped the head of the whole zoo to answer questions about how many animals he had...etc.The school loved it so much that he said if your class has any spare time draw a made up animal! Then amazingly, out of the blue came the head of the zoo with his teleporting torch. The school realy enjoyed it!
Next they came to our Yr5 clasroom, and gave us a sheet which we had to fill in about our animals which we blogged about! Then after we had finished we had to do a big painting of it! Mine was 1/2 hedgehog and 1/2 beaver( if you want to see it go onto the Night Zoo keeper website!)
Next session we went into the Night Zoo keeper's blogging website where we had to talk about our animal and about why our animal could get into the zoo! Then we learned that every animal in the zoo had a special mission. Then we had to make up our own one for them. On my animal (BeHog) I said his mission was to do a wiggly dance whilst singing about BeHogs!
Then finally the session was over and we had to hand it over to fleming! But it was still a great, great, great great day!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU NIGHT ZOO KEEPERS!!!!
