Improving Year 5's Big Write
In Year 5, all of the children had to write a great story at the very best of their ability. After a few days, we had a lesson about punctuation and how they make our piece of writing make sense. A few people had done a few minor mistakes with punctuation and so what we did is we all re-wrote our essays to make sure they make sense and also to add a few more WoW Words to them. Everyone read their teachers comments on their work and if there was any green writing (which is for learning what to do next time) and once they understood what to do next time, they rectified their mistakes. Do you think that was an intelligent idea?
