READING SUMMER WEEK 1

by Isabella 6F

1) The artist Nathan Wyburn used photos of more than 200 NHS staff, to create a collage.

2) The message that I think the artist is trying to get across is that the NHS staff are risking their own life's by trying to save us because if someone has Covid-19, they could catch it.

3) Tribute means when you show respect or admiration.

4) The Taylor family coloured in the bricks of their house to create a rainbow effect, to "lift people's spirits" during the coronavirus lockdown.

5)The rainbow has become a symbol of peace and hope and to cheer people up.

6a) My favourite hairstyle is Princess Leia because it looks like she is wearing doughnut earmuffs.

6b) The characters hairstyle I think she should try next is Hades from Descendants 3.

7) Two reasons why I think hairdresser Heidi has styled Geoff's hair in this way is to keep up

-to-date with her skills and by posting on the internet, she can show the world her work.

8) The two language features that the words 'self-isolate' and 'exterminate' share are rhyme and the same number of syllables.

9) The 'Social Distancing Circle' invention works by linking together pipes to make the circle, then covered with tarpaulin to keep the 2m distance.

10a) No, I was not surprised with the invention when I saw the photo, as I had already seen it online but when I did see it for the first time, I thought it was a trampoline.
