I coriander is is a wonderful book written by Sally Gardener set in
Stuart times. Just after the execution of Charles I.
This book is about when a girl's mother dies and father is forced to
marry again. This new mother is puritain and orders everyone about,
she even tells Coriander to change her name to Ann. This woman is
so mean she locks Coriander in a cuboard, when her father is away at sea. Coriander finds herself in another world. The world of her not entirely human mothers shadow. When she wakes up she has been in the cuboard for three years in our time and thought dead. She finds her father's house very much ruled by evil power.
