The wolf prowled hungrily around the cage and wondered how to get out. He carried on his unuseful scatters around the cage, his cunning brain whirring like cogs on a brand new machine. Finally, he used his senses to discover that the cage door was unlocked, and he was able to sneak out into the depths of the dark, gloomy night. He howled hungrily-not a good idea. The guards came flocking around like sheep, encircling the wolf like a pack of hunters. The wolf hated hunters. Those were the people who had brought him to this wretched place. Disgusting, he thought, why was he picked from the whole pack. He covered up his strength and created something called wolf courage. The wolf started making terrible wretching noises and rolling around on the floor. The guards strolled reluctantly towards the wolf until the wolf punced and scurried away into the night. The wolf was free.
