My holiday started off with the usual lounging around, being bored and doing literally NOTHING. I had my Grandparents round to visit on Sunday, because it was my Granny's birthday!
The rest of the week was pretty much occupied by swimming with my friends. The funniest part of swimming was on Thursday when we were getting changed from swimming. One of my friends stepped into the shower and said, "I hate it when women in the movies stand in the shower, shouting at a man saying 'leave me alone' before pulling the shower curtain across!". With that he impersonated a women doing just that before accidentally pulling the shower curtain down!
In the second week, after scoffing down most of the Easter eggs and leaving some builders re-doing our bathroom and looking after our cat, we went on holiday to see my Granny and Grandad in Birmingham.
On Thursday we went to the Gadget Show, where if you had tickets you could see some of the latest gadgets and also watch and take part in an awesome live version of the channel 5 show with the actual presenters! I say 'take part in' because that is exactly what I got to do! When the presenters started the show, they asked people that they had chosen to name the gadget that a sound they had played beforehand belonged to. Suzi Perry(one of the presenters!) picked ME to answer the last one and I got it right! I won an appcopter, which is a mini helicopter which you can control with an Apple tablet/phone. This was great, because I have an Ipod Touch, so I could use it. When sat down, I was still shaking with excitement and nerves!
The next day we went to see the Hunger Games, which I was excited about because I had just finished the trilogy of books.
On Saturday, the day I wrote this, it was my Grandparents' Fiftieth wedding anniversary!
I have had a great holiday, and I can't wait until the next set of term-finishing holidays...
