Gales zoomed across the land of Enilorac as I cowered in a corner of my house. Fear slithered up my body as I tensely waited for the hurricane to stop. More and more trees were swept off the ground by the almighty power of the wind, whilst the local river flooded the banks and began to creep up the streets.
I had seen hurricanes all the time on programmes but it had never occurred to me that I could be unlucky enough to experience one. Now an immense rumbling noise was travelling across the air just like the tremors and earthquakes in Haiti. After a long while my eyes sagged and in a blink of an eye I was asleep.
