Sir Francis Drake was an explorer in the Elizabethan era, he was the first first English man to see the west side of Canada and over all was very rich and did very amazing things. most of which are written here.
Early life
Francis was born near Plymouth in 1542 and was the oldest of 11 brothers! He never had a formal education however he had inherited some of his father's skills at sea. As his father was a sailor and his father was always talking about ships he knew it of by heart age 11.
Where he sailed
His first mission wasat the age of 25 however he did not lead the voyage. Sir Drake was the first man to sail a full circle around the world (1577-1580). On this particular occasion he had 5 ships and 160 men. They stopped at San Francisco and found millions of gold and riches under ground. This is just a few places he went.
Death
Sir Francis Drake had a wife but no kids. His last voyage was in 1596, he caught a high fever on the way home and did not live to tell his tale. His crew buried him at sea so he could forever roam at his most beloved place.
