Anne of Cleves
Anne of Cleves was born on the 22nd September 1515. She was born in Italy and was the daughter of John lll Duke of Cleves. She was sent to England to marry the King only aged 15! They where married on the 6th January in Greenwich palace. It was not a very successful marriage and they divorced 7 months later.This was partly due to Henry mourning Jane Seymore. They had no children.
Kathryn Howard
Kathryn was born in 1521. At the time Thomas Howard was the Duke of Norfolk, and his younger brother had a suitable daughter for the King to marry. This was Kathryn. They were married on the 28th July 1540 in Oatley Castle . However a couple of years later Henry was informed that his wife had other lovers. She was executed in the Tower of London on the 13th February 1542.
Katherine Parr
Katherine Parr was the eldest daughter of Sir Thomas Parr and his wife Maud Green. Her birthday is unknown, probably 1512. She was widowed twice before marrying Henry 8th and was 31 when he asked for her hand. They had a very small marriage in Hampton court on the 12th July 1543. Henry was old and very over wait but she felt it was her duty to help him through his last years. She was widowed for a third time on the 15th January 1547. She herself died a year and a half later.
